Glory to Jesus Christ!

The next few days will be quite busy! Here is a list of all the happenings:

Saturday, June 22: EOYC 5K Fun Flapjack Run. The run begins at 8am at Shawnee Mission South High School. You can register on-line at www.myeoyc.com. Even if you are not running, please consider making a donation for this important fundraiser for EOYC. Chris Cakes will be serving pancakes after the race.

Saturday, June 22: Stuart Joy will be Chrismated into the Orthodox Church at 5pm. The Chrismation will be followed by a General Memorial Service for all the departed of the parish and our families and then the Vespers of Pentecost.

Sunday, June 23: 3rd & 6th Hours at 9:40am followed by the Divine Liturgy of Pentecost and the Kneeling Prayers of Pentecost. At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy we will honor our 7 High School graduates and 5 college graduates. All this is followed by our annual Parish Picnic! If your name ends in N-Z please bring a side dish to share. If your name ends in A-M please bring a dessert to share. Hot dogs, hamburgers and beverages are provided. Feel free to bring along blankets, folding chairs or any outdoor sporting equipment for the picnic.

Monday, June 24: Divine Liturgy for the Feast of the Holy Spirit and the Nativity of John the Baptist at 9:30am.

Monday, June 24: A group of 4 will be leaving on  a pilgrimage to Dormition Monastery in Rives Junction, Michigan and returning on Friday. Please keep them in your prayers!

Tuesday, June 25: A group of 10 missionaries will be traveling to Project Mexico and returning on July 1. Please keep them in your prayers!

Wednesday, June 26: Following the Akathist Service at 6:30pm we will visit with the Catechist and Diaconal Vocations Director of the Diocese of the Midwest, Fr. Elijah Mueller. Tuesday-Friday (June 25-28): Vacation Church School at Annunciation Greek Church for children ages 5 to 18. VCS begins at 12:30pm and concludes at 4pm. Contact Melissa Barry for more information or if you’d like to help. (missybarry@yahoo.com)

Saturday, June 29th: Divine Liturgy for the Feast of Ss. Peter & Paul, 9:30am
