...And a Welcome to the Revamped Site |
Please excuse our mess as the new site comes online and the rough edges are smoothed. A brief note to Internet Explorer users... If you are using version 6 or earlier, you need to upgrade to version 7 or you may encounter issues with the presentation and features of the site. With the release of IE7, support for IE6 is rapidly declining. There's no good reason to not upgrade to IE7, which is stable and free. IE6 was released way back on August 27, 2001. It's prone to severe security vulnerabilities, it's not standards compliant, it's buggy, it doesn't render page layouts as intended, and it lacks many features of up-to-date browsers. If you are in doubt which version you are using, click on "Help" and then "About Internet Explorer" in your menu bar to verify. |

Cultivate Your Parish Website |
Why your parish Web site is so important and how you can cultivate its true potential. Upgrading to Web 2.0.
A few years ago, when I was working as a reporter at a small daily paper, my editor asked me to write a story about a local church. She handed me a press release, which explained that this church was putting together a public event for the community, and told me to type something up.
I immediately jumped on my computer and looked for the church's Web site.
Nothing.
Well, next to nothing. There was an old page with only the most basic information: We're a church; we're located here; and you can come and visit us at these times. |
